Similar to artist trading cards, sketch cards are 2.5" x 3.5" trading-card-sized pieces of original art that are popular with both artists and fans. This book includes a history of sketch cards, basic technique instruction for sketching in pencil, colored pencil, pen and ink, colored markers, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media and a detailed list of drawing and painting supplies. In 20 step-by-step demonstrations it presents the mechanics of designing and constructing sketch cards, from what to include on the back to printing, cutting and mounting them.
